Three games, one 40-card deck. Each one takes a few minutes to learn — pick a game below, read the short rules, and deal.

Classic Briscola

3-card hand · Quick & classic

Briscola is one of Italy's best-loved card games: a trick-taking game for two players, played with the 40-card Italian deck. On Briscola AI you can play briscola online free, right in your browser — against a smart AI opponent or with friends, with no download and no signup.

Briscola rules in short

Each player holds three cards, and a card turned face-up at the deal sets the trump suit — the briscola. Players take turns playing one card each: the higher card of the led suit wins the trick, unless a trump is played. You are never obliged to follow suit. The trick winner draws first from the stock and leads the next trick.

Card strength within a suit runs asso, tre, re, cavallo, fante, then 7 down to 2. The deal is played out until the deck and both hands are empty.

Card points

Asso 11 · Tre 10 · Re 4 · Cavallo 3 · Fante 2 — 120 points in the deck. You win the deal with 61 or more; 60–60 is a tie. Play a single deal, first to 3, or first to 4 wins.

Two difficulty levels: Easy plays a solid casual game, while Hard runs a Monte Carlo search on every move and plays at club level. Or open a private room and play 1v1 or 2v2 with friends — invite by link or a 5-letter code. Free, in English, Italian and Croatian, with 11 regional Italian decks to choose from.

Briškula

4-card hand · Adriatic favourite

Briškula (also written briskula or briškola) is the Croatian and Dalmatian version of Italian briscola, played along the Adriatic coast and on the islands. This is the authentic Dalmatian game with a 4-card hand: each player holds four cards and plays two per trick. Play briškula online free against the AI or with friends — no download, no signup.

Briškula rules in short

The game uses the 40-card Italian (Triestine) deck. A face-up card at the deal sets the trump suit — the briškula. Each player holds four cards and plays twice per trick, so four cards land on the table every trick. The higher card of the led suit wins unless a trump beats it, and you never have to follow suit.

Card strength runs aš (ace), trica (three), kralj (king), konj (horse), fanat (jack), then 7 down to 2. The trick winner draws first from the stock and leads the next trick.

Card points

Aš 11 · Trica 10 · Kralj 4 · Konj 3 · Fanat 2 — 120 points in the deck. You win the deal with 61 or more; 60–60 is a tie. Play a single deal, first to 3, or first to 4 wins.

Tressette

Follow suit · Race to 41

Tressette is a classic Italian trick-taking card game, known as trešeta along the Croatian coast. Unlike briscola there is no trump suit — and you must follow suit when you can. Play tressette online free against the AI, or 1v1 and 2v2 with friends.

Tressette rules in short

Played with the 40-card Italian deck. The tre is the strongest card, then due, asso, and re, cavallo, fante, 7 down to 4. If you hold the led suit you must follow it; the highest card of the led suit takes the trick.

In the 2-player game the trick winner draws from the stock; the 4-player partnership game deals out the whole deck. Akuže (accuse) declarations — three or four of a kind, or the napolitana — score bonus points from the dealt hand.

Scoring

Aces are worth a full point; tre, due and the face cards a third each; the last trick (ultima) is worth one extra. A deal holds 11 points, and the match is played to 21, 31 or 41 punti.

The tressette bot counts cards, reads voids and declarations, and finishes the endgame with an exact solver. Or open a private room and play 1v1 or classic 4-player partnership trešeta with friends — invite by link or a 5-letter code. Free, in English, Italian and Croatian.
