Briškula (also written briskula or briškola) is the Croatian and Dalmatian version of Italian briscola, played along the Adriatic coast and on the islands. This is the authentic Dalmatian game with a 4-card hand: each player holds four cards and plays two per trick. Play briškula online free against the AI or with friends — no download, no signup.
The game uses the 40-card Italian (Triestine) deck. A face-up card at the deal sets the trump suit — the briškula. Each player holds four cards and plays twice per trick, so four cards land on the table every trick. The higher card of the led suit wins unless a trump beats it, and you never have to follow suit.
Card strength runs aš (ace), trica (three), kralj (king), konj (horse), fanat (jack), then 7 down to 2. The trick winner draws first from the stock and leads the next trick.
Aš 11 · Trica 10 · Kralj 4 · Konj 3 · Fanat 2 — 120 points in the deck. You win the deal with 61 or more; 60–60 is a tie. Play a single deal, first to 3, or first to 4 wins.
Two difficulty levels: Easy plays a solid casual game, while Hard runs a Monte Carlo search on every move and plays at club level.
